Qualifications

• We are seeking a PhD holder in infectious disease epidemiology, computational biology, applied statistics or mathematics.
• Experience in transmission dynamics modeling, pathogen genomics, bioinformatics or population genetics is preferred.
• Strong programming skills and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams are essential.

Responsibilities

• Developing a simulation framework for pathogen transmission and evaluating sampling strategies
• Engaging with international stakeholders to identify priority pathogens and surveillance approaches
• Building pathogen genomic datasets from public data and metadata using AI tools
• Guiding development of accessible tools for genomic surveillance program design
• Conducting pathogen genomic analyses in public health settings
