Job summary

Swan Legal Search invites a junior to mid-level patent litigation associate in Los Angeles with a technical degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or physics. Candidates should be JD 2021–2025, with a strong technical background; patent litigation experience in district court, ITC, or PTAB is a plus.

Qualifications

• JD class year 2021 to 2025 (required).
• Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or physics (required).
• Patent litigation experience in district court, the ITC, or the PTAB (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Litigate patent cases in federal district court, from discovery through motion practice.
• Work on ITC investigations.
• Draft petitions and responses in PTAB proceedings.
• Apply technical training to claim construction and work closely with expert witnesses.
• Prepare cases for trial and help manage fact and expert depositions.
