Job summary

W3Global is seeking a motivated patent attorney or agent to join our team on a full-time or part-time exclusive basis, with remote working options and on-site in Tysons, VA. You will primarily prosecute patent applications for leading technology companies, handling patent preparation and related responsibilities.

A BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics and 5+ years of experience are preferred; strong writing and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of patent prosecution/preparation experience.
• Patent prosecution in areas like semiconductors, AI/ML, electrical systems, robotics, displays, sensors, optics, wireless, automotive tech, software, biometrics, or medical systems.
• Excellent writing skills and a solutions-driven mindset.
• Strong communication, organization, and responsiveness.

Duties Include

Primarily prosecuting patent applications for leading technology companies and patent application preparation

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent
• At least 5 recent years of patent prosecution/preparation experience
• Patent prosecution experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: semiconductors, AI/ML, electrical systems/circuitry, robotics, displays, sensors, optics, wireless communication systems, automotive technology, specialized software, biometrics, or medical systems
• Require limited training/review yet enjoy learning and adapting
