The role focuses on patent preparation and prosecution across electrical, computer, and software technologies, with substantial client interaction and collaboration with a team of patent attorneys.

The successful candidate will draft and prosecute US patent applications, coordinate foreign filings, and provide strategic IP counseling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Registration to practice before the USPTO is required.
• Minimum of five years of patent drafting and prosecution experience.
• Experience handling software-related patent matters is a plus.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct invention harvesting meetings with inventors and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in patent preparation and prosecution, along with the ability to work across a broad range of electrical, computer, and software technologies. This position offers significant client interaction and the opportunity to work closely with an experienced team of patent attorneys and patent agents on sophisticated domestic and international patent matters.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct invention harvesting meetings with inventors and engineering teams.

Compensation

Expected compensation: $170,000–$230,000, depending on experience, technical background, qualifications, and geographic market.

Qualifications and Benefits

• Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is required.
