Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our day shift team. You will provide direct patient care across a busy hospital unit, collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other nurses to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

We value BSN-preferred candidates with Iowa RN licensure and BLS certification, plus ongoing professional development. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 36 hours per week, with no weekend shifts, as part of a Magnet-designated tertiary

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• BSN preferred.
• Certification by a recognized nursing organization is preferred.
• Mandatory Reporter Training for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse within 6 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Magnet-designated hospital.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nurses to deliver care.
• Uphold nursing standards and participate in professional development.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, no weekends
• Full-time, 36 hours per week
• 8 am - 5:30 pm

General Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Must be a registered nurse and must hold an active license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa.
• Certification by a nationally recognized nursing organization is preferred and strongly encouraged.
• The registered nurse continuously seeks opportunities to enhance his or her own professional nursing practice. Membership in an appropriate professional nursing organization is recommended.
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) will be required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.
