Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a dedicated Baker to join the Culinary team at The Belgrove, a 4‑Diamond resort in West Palm Beach. You will assist the Chef in production and fabrication of baked goods for kitchen and events, following recipes, and ensuring quality across breakfast, dining room, and banquet service.

Qualified candidates will have a current Active Food Handler’s certification or ability to obtain one, be willing to work day, night, and weekend shifts, and demonstrate strong

Responsibilities

• The Baker assists the Chef in production and fabrication of baked products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining.
• Follows recipes and/or product directions to prepare items from scratch such as breads, rolls, muffins, biscuits, etc.
• Regulates drafts and temperatures of ovens and places items in ovens.
• May clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.
• Attends allergy and foodborne illness in-service training and safety meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What you will have an opportunity to do

We are looking for someone passionate about the culinary arts to join our Culinary team. This individual must be creative, motivated, and eager to grow their talents in the kitchen. Successful candidates will have previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, a strong desire to learn, and the ability to work with the culinary leadership team to create menus that reflect seasonal availability and the concept of the restaurant. The Baker assists the Chef in production and fabrication of baked products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining. The Baker plays a supportive leadership role in maintaining adequate production levels.

• Follows recipes and/or product directions to prepare items from scratch such as breads, rolls, muffins, biscuits, etc.
• Places products into correctly prepared pans.
• Regulates the drafts and temperatures of the ovens.
• Places items in ovens.
• Removes baked items from ovens and applies appropriate toppings.
• May clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.
• Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in‑service training.
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
• Complies with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures.
• Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
