Job summary

Eurest is hiring a full-time Pastry Chef for the Intel RNB Cafe in Santa Clara, CA. The role oversees daily production of pastries and desserts, with a 3:00 am–11:30 pm Monday–Friday schedule.

Requires at least 3 years of baking experience; corporate dining experience preferred. Pay ranges from $34.00 to $38.00 per hour, with opportunities to lead pastry staff, ensure recipe compliance, monitor costs and inventory, and uphold sanitation standards.

• At least 3 years of baking experience.
• Pastry chef experience preferred for corporate dining accounts.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts and baked goods.
• Ensures recipes and standards are followed, food costs are controlled and appropriate quantity is prepared based on established production needs.
• Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
• Monitors and controls the maintenance and sanitation of the pastry kitchen and equipment to meet standards.
• Supervises hourly kitchen/pastry associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, and reviews.
• Helps plan and implement seasonal menus.
• Orders and maintains pastry supplies and products to maintain inventory levels.

• Ensures recipes and standards are followed, food costs are controlled and appropriate quantity is prepared based on established production needs.
• Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
• Monitors and controls the maintenance and sanitation of the pastry kitchen and equipment to ensure a work environment that meets/exceeds federal, state and corporate standards and regulations.
• Supervises hourly kitchen/pastry associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews and recommending disciplinary action, as appropriate.
• Helps plan and implement seasonal menus.
• Orders and maintains pastry supplies and products to ensure appropriate inventory levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
