Job summary

JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery in Paso Robles, CA seeks a pastry-focused team member to support the pastry chef and assist with breads, desserts, and savory components for events and daily service. You will supervise and train junior staff, maintain high cleanliness standards, and ensure quality during service while collaborating with teammates in a hospitality-forward setting at the winery.

• 3+ years pastry experience in a restaurant hotel (Michelin experience a plus but not required)
• Culinary School a plus (not required)
• Food Handlers Certificate

• Effective problem solving skills / Solution oriented
• Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Paints, shells, fills and caps chocolates; assists pastry chef with breads and desserts
• Assists with savory dish components
• Mentors lower level staff on proper dish preparation
• Performs quality controls on all kitchen components

• Painting, shelling, filling and capping chocolates
• Helps pastry chef to prepare breads, dinner and lunch desserts
• Assist with savory dish components.
• Able to show lower level employees how to properly prepare dishes.
• Quality controls and checks all components that come out the kitchen.
• Able to problem solve when issues arise.
• Able to work professionally with customers or in front of guest during events or classes.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour. Final compensation is dependent upon skills and experience.
