Job summary

Sacred Heart Parish in Enumclaw invites applications for a Youth Group Coordinator. The role reports to the Director of Pastoral Ministries and oversees the Family Parish 32 Youth Group across multiple parish locations.

Responsibilities include catechesis leadership, supporting events such as Summer Youth Convention and service days, along with necessary administrative duties. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Theology or related field required.
• Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing.
• Experience in Youth Ministry or catechesis preferred (2–3 years).
• Knowledge of Safe Environment policies and training required.

Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Salary Range: $38,350.00 - $42,952.00 Salary/year

Multi-Location Youth Group Coordinator under the supervision of the Director of Pastoral Ministries.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.

Responsibilities

• To take lead of Family Parish 32 Youth Group under the supervision of Director of Pastoral Ministries.
• To serve as Director of Family Catechesis at 0048-St. Barbara Parish location.
• Assist with summer Youth Convention and Vacation Bible School; Youth Mission Trip and 2-3 Youth Service Days per year.
• Administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Theology
• Faith & Standing: Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing who lives and is committed to Church doctrine and evangelization.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Education, Youth Ministry, Pastoral Studies, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in Youth Ministry, catechesis, or working with youth and volunteers in a parish or Catholic school setting.
• Safe Environment: Full compliance with diocesan Child Protection Policies, including background checks and Safe Environment/VIRTUS training.
• Skills: Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and organizational abilities, plus basic digital literacy (Microsoft Office, social media, etc.).
• Availability: Regular requirement to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overnight retreats or conferences.
• Language: Bi-lingual not required but beneficial.
