Job summary

Grace Community Church Wasco seeks a Pastor to teach, shepherd, and lead the church family while facilitating community outreach. The role emphasizes prayerful study of Scripture, oversight of worship teaching, and guidance for discipleship within a culturally diverse Wasco community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong faith testimony, leadership abilities, and experience in ministry, with fluency in English and Spanish and EFCA alignment. Ordination or pursuing ordination is expected.

Qualifications

• Clear testimony of faith in Jesus and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him.
• Be a man of prayer, teachable spirit, servant’s heart, and fruit of the Spirit in life.
• Understand or willing to learn the local Hispanic culture.
• Exhibits good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• To devote priority to prayer and the study of the Scriptures.
• To lead and direct the teaching ministry in all worship services.
• To lead in developing community outreach and discipleship.
• To lead the church towards fulfillment of its purpose and vision.
• To guide, feed and care for the spiritual needs of the congregation.
• To provide advice and council to lay leadership.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Elders.

Education

B.A. in Biblical Studies or Christian Ministries

Masters degree preferred

Bilingual English/Spanish

EFCA ordination certification

EFCA training participation

5+ years ministry experience preferred
