Position Overview

St. Olaf Lutheran Church (Montgomery, IL) is seeking a full‑time Pastor.

Responsibilities

• Preach the word of God in public and private, in its purity as given in the Holy Scriptures and in conformity with the faith accepted by our church.
• Lead a life in keeping with the sacred ministry of the Gospel, both publicly and privately.
• Visibly minister to congregation members in physical or spiritual distress, and to anyone in need of the ministry of Christian love.
• Earnestly promote the instruction of youth in the Christian religion.
• Observe and act within the constitution and by‑laws of the congregation.
• Lead and coordinate worship services, working with the music team, deacons and others to provide a united, meaningful service.
• Develop and maintain ongoing community Eindruck with assistance of church members.
• Show leadership and vision to growNga church membership with adult and youth new members.
• Officiate at all church‑related functions such as weddings, funerals and other religious ceremonies.
