Job summary

First Baptist Church Blanchester in rural Ohio seeks a Pastor to lead biblical preaching, discipleship, and church revitalization. The pastor will also shepherd congregants, assist in crisis ministry, and guide missions engagement.

Affiliated with GARBC but independently operated, the church invites a servant leader with strong communication and theological clarity to serve a community near Cincinnati. Housing, bene ts, and a collaborative Advisory Board are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Preferably a Baptist-ordained minister with a Master's in Divinity from a GARBC-accredited university or equivalent.
• Meaningful pastoral experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates a clear love for Jesus Christ in life and ministry.

Responsibilities

• Preach and Lead Worship: Develop and deliver weekly sermons and facilitate meaningful worship experiences.
• Disciple and Support Members: Actively build relationships with church members to disciple, equip, support, and encourage.
• Minister in Crisis: Serve and minister to individuals during times of crisis, offering spiritual and emotional support.
• Provide Counseling: Offer counseling support to church members as needed.
• Support Missions: Stay informed about the work of the missions committee and provide advice and encouragement.
• Manage Finances: Prepare the annual budget and present it to the Advisory Board.
• Perform Ceremonies: Conduct baptisms, weddings, and funerals.
