SBC Executive Committee is seeking the Pastor of Students and Families to lead child- through high school ministries and their families. The pastor will equip volunteers, develop programs with the Senior Pastor, and align ministry with church doctrine and vision.

The role emphasizes evangelism, discipleship, and family ministry, with duties including calendar management, events, and teacher training in a church setting.

Qualificações

• Must have a personal testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
• Bachelor degree in a field applicable to student ministry or related experience.
• 4–5 years of student ministry experience preferred.
• Willingness to attend conferences for growth and development.

• Develops and leads a unified student ministry aligned with the church's vision to reach unbelievers and make disciples.
• Coordinates with the Senior Pastor and church committees to ensure ministry unity.
• Organizes and trains teachers and leaders who are called to student ministry.
• Establishes annual goals for student ministry enrichment.
• Maintains literature and materials consistent with church doctrines.
• Maintains current records of students involved in the ministry and schedules events.

The Pastor of Students and Families shall be called of God and by the church for ministry to children, birth through high school and their families. The Pastor of Students and Families must have a heart and a vision to convert unbelieving students from within and outside of the church body. Moreover, the Pastor of Students and Families must demonstrate a passion for equipping and developing believers into healthy and effective disciples.

The Pastor of Students and Families must be able to create and develop student and family ministries in coordination with the Senior Pastor and any committees or councils that the church calls to assist in ministry.

The Pastor of Students and Families has obtained an undergraduate degree in a field of study that can be applied to student ministry and/or has a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in student ministry.

The Pastor of Students and Families is encouraged to attend conferences and classes that will be relevant to student ministry and personal and professional spiritual growth.

• Has a testimony of one who has been redeemed by the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Had been baptized as a public testimony of the Lordship of Jesus in his life.
• Walks daily with the Lord in personal devotions and private prayer.
• Regularly engages unbelievers with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Holds to the divine inspiration and inerrancy of the Bible.
• Demonstrates a loving and Christlike attitude to those within the faith as well as to those who are unbelievers.
• Attends all regularly scheduled worship services.
• Commits to the doctrines of the church as described in the church covenant.

Professional Expectations

• Works under the direction and guidance of the Senior Pastor.
• Works with the other church staff to ensure unity among all ministries.
• Develops a unified student ministry that is in line with the church’s vision of reaching unbelievers and making disciples of Christ.
• Organizes and trains teachers and leaders who have demonstrated a passion for and a call to student ministry.
• Establishes annual goals for student ministry enrichment.
• Coordinates with all leadership to ensure that the literature and materials being used are in line with the doctrines and vision of the church and equips and encourages leaders.
• Maintains current records of all students involved in the FBC student ministry.
• Schedules and coordinates special Sundays that will celebrate various aspects of the student ministry, including but not limited to baby dedication, graduation, etc.
• Organizes summer ministry opportunities for children and youth, including camps, service projects, etc.
• Maintains an online calendar for in-office availability to facilitate meetings/counseling to promote unity and genuine inter-personal relationships.

Conduct Guidelines

Must use only approved church communication tools. At no time shall the Pastor of Students and Families conduct counseling or any other ministry to a student individually without the presence of his spouse or another adult. Neither shall they transport youth in their personal or church vehicle without a spouse or another adult present. The Pastor of Students and Families must not at any time consume or use alcohol or any illegal drugs. Their conduct must be beyond reproach.
