Job summary

Green Level Baptist Church in Cary, NC is seeking a Pastor of Disciple-Making to shepherd the flock and implement unified disciple-making practices that engage guests, develop mature disciples, and mobilize us to proclaim the gospel locally and to the nations.

The Associate Pastor will work closely with staff and volunteers, providing biblical teaching, pastoral care, and leadership across ministries to build a strong, gospel-centered community.

Qualifications

• Meets pastoral qualifications listed in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
• Affirms and effectively teaches biblical doctrine in accordance with BF&M 2000.
• 3+ years full-time pastoral experience including teaching, discipleship, pastoral care, and church leadership.
• Strong organizational, time management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage Guests: Ensure a welcoming culture, implement consistent follow-up, and provide clear pathways for engagement, faith and membership.
• Disciple Members: Develop and strengthen discipleship pathways and leaders with a unified approach across all ages and life stages.
• Equip Disciple-Makers: Establish a cohesive process to equip members as effective disciple-makers through teaching, training, and practical opportunities.
• Mobilize for Mission: Develop a cohesive strategy and strengthen mission partnerships to equip and mobilize members individually and collectively to proclaim the gospel from our neighborhoods to the nations.
• Pastoral Duties: Assist with spiritual leadership, biblical teaching, pastoral care, and other pastoral responsibilities alongside the Senior Pastor.

Pastor of Disciple-Making – Green Level Baptist Church

Position: Full-Time, Salaried, Permanent

Role Summary

Serve and help shepherd the flock as an Associate Pastor, developing and implementing unified practices that (1) engage guests, (2) establish members as maturing disciples, (3) equip members as faithful disciple-makers, and (4) mobilize us to proclaim the gospel from our neighborhoods to the nations.

Observable Qualifications

• 3. M.Div. (or equivalent) required (in progress considered)
• 4. Minimum 3 years full-time pastoral experience including teaching, discipleship, pastoral care, and church leadership
• 5. Strong organizational, time management, and leadership skills
