The Big Picture:
North Scott Baptist Church (northscottbaptist.com) is seeking a Pastor who will preach the Word of God and shepherd the Body of Christ.
Theology of Ministry:
The theme of ministering is throughout the Scriptures. While functional differences exist between apostles, prophets, teachers, pastors, and the general body of disciples, the concept of one body is central. God calls individuals to be set apart as pastors, and churches validate this calling. Following Biblical patterns from Timothy, Titus, and 1 Peter, pastors are preachers, teachers, overseers, leaders, under-shepherds, and servants of Jesus Christ.
The church believes the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inerrant Word of God and accept them as the final authority in all matters of morals, church governance, and religious practice. Our expectations for the pastor are based on these beliefs.
