Job summary

Barilla Ames is seeking a Production Specialist to lead the production and packaging teams, ensuring first-run quality pasta while maintaining a safe, efficient operation.

You will coach machine operators, drive schedule adherence, manage safety, quality, and cost, and partner with maintenance and quality teams to sustain continuous improvement.

This role requires strong coaching, problem solving and communication skills to meet customer objectives and Barilla's standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in a supervisory level role in production/manufacturing
• Experience coaching and mentoring machine operators
• Familiarity with MS Office and basic mechanical principles

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the production and packaging departments; ensure safety, quality, and on‑time performance
• Coach, mentor and develop production associates; drive schedule adherence and cost containment
• Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams; communicate effectively about line status and issues
• Maintain staffing levels; conduct performance evaluations and handle personnel actions as needed
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, FSMA, ISO22000 and environmental policies across the facility
