Ford Motor Company is seeking a Product Development Engineer to support Passive Safety Electronics, Restraints Control Module and Crash sensors across current and future vehicle programs. You will collaborate with full-service suppliers to release hardware, software and calibration on time with the highest quality.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3+ years of automotive experience, including 1+ year in product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 3+ years of automotive industry experience.
• 1+ year of product development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, release, and program application work for Passive Safety Electronics systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers to release hardware, software and calibration on time.
• Ensure components are packaging for each vehicle application.
• Follow Robustness Engineering disciplines and Six-Sigma processes.
• Conduct design validation at breadboard, HIL, bench, and in vehicle.
