Job summary

AMIkids in Florida is seeking a dependable Driver to safely transport youth to program activities, school, and appointments, while upholding safety and positive conduct.

You will model professionalism, maintain a safe vehicle environment, and assist with trips, overnight or weekend as needed. A High School Diploma or GED and a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with endorsements and a current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Safe driving record that meets AMIkids and insurance carrier requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with youth.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport youth to and from program activities, school, appointments, and other destinations.
• Ensure safety, supervision, and well-being of youth during transportation.
• Operate AMIkids vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws, Institute policies, and defensive driving practices.
• Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, respect, and sound judgment.
• Assist with boarding and exiting vehicles while ensuring youth safety at all times.
• Support day trips, recreational activities, and occasional overnight or weekend trips as needed.
• Administer First Aid and CPR during emergencies when required.
• Assist with special projects and other duties to support program operations.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
