Job summary

Fall River Public Schools is seeking a paraprofessional in Fall River, MA to assist in instruction and supervise students under the supervision of licensed teachers. You will relate well to students and staff and participate in curriculum-related activities.

Qualifications include NCLB Qualified (Associates Degree or Para Pro Test). The position offers a 183-day work year with 210 paid days and a pay range of $24.75 to $26.33 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Relate well with students and other adults.
• Be generally responsible to the curriculum supervisor.
• Participate in staff development workshops, training sessions, meetings, and/or other activities organized by the curriculum supervisor or program director.
• Be directly responsible to the teacher for activities related to instruction and program implementation.
• Assist and work under the supervision of the teacher in providing individualized instructional services.
• Prepare instructional materials.
• Organize instructional areas.
• Be responsible to school principals for non-instructional duties that fall within guidelines.
• Participate in program evaluations and needs assessment procedures.

SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

In accordance with the Fall River Paraprofessionals contract.Employment is contingent upon job performance, program needs, and funding. Salary includes a 183 day work year, with 210 paid days per year (including vacation and paid holidays). Payrate ranges $24.75-$26.33/hour.
