Job summary

The Nashua Board of Education seeks an educational interpreter/translator to facilitate communication between students, families and staff who speak languages other than English.

The interpreter will provide oral interpretation and written translation support, primarily for Pashto-speaking students and families, across district programs. Starting ASAP for the 2025-2026 school year, 180 days, salary $25/hour, district-wide coverage.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and fluent in Pashto.
• Completed or currently enrolled in interpreter training courses or equivalent

Responsibilities

• The educational interpreter facilitates communication among students and parents who speak a language other than English.
• Applicant will be proficient in written translation and provide interpreting/support services as needed.
