Job summary

Blue Mountain Home Healthcare Lehigh Valley is seeking a compassionate PAS Home Care Aide to join our Tamaqua, PA team. You will provide in-home personal care and support to clients living independently, helping with daily activities and maintaining dignity at home.

Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, meal assistance, mobility support, light housekeeping, transportation, and monitoring health changes while communicating with supervising staff. Prior caregiving experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiving or PAS experience preferred.
• Ability to pass health screenings.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Strong communication and compassionate, patient demeanor.
• Ability to follow care plans and work independently.

• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to client care plans
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces
• Accompany clients to appointments and assist with errands and transportation
• Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervising staff
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Home Care Aide, PAS worker, CNA, or in a similar caregiving role preferred
• Ability to pass required health screenings
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor
• Ability to follow care plans and work independently with minimal supervision
• Physical ability to assist with lifting, transfers, and other hands-on care tasks
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
