Job summary

Littlefishswimming in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a permanent Lifeguard/Party Host to manage birthday parties from start to finish. You will host events, keep activities on schedule, and ensure guest safety while engaging with families in a fun environment.

Shifts run 1:30 PM–4:30 PM with potential extensions for extra pool time; Saturday availability is required. When needed, you may cover lifeguard duties during pool time and assist with Open Swim hours, after which you resume hosting duties.

Job description

We are currently looking to add a permanent Lifeguard/Party Host shift to our team. In this role, your primary responsibility would be serving as the host during scheduled birthday parties and ensuring each event runs smoothly from start to finish. Please note that availability on Saturdays is required for this position to host scheduled parties. The standard shift runs from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. However, shifts may run longer if a party chooses to add an extra 30 or 60 minutes of pool time.

Responsibilities would include:

• Keeping parties on schedule by following planned activities
• Maintaining facility cleanliness throughout the event
• Coordinating food and drink deliveries
• Engaging with guests to create a fun, welcoming atmosphere
• Ensuring all aspects of the party flow seamlessly

In cases where an additional lifeguard is needed, you would also be required to step in as a lifeguard during the party’s pool time and then resume your party hosting responsibilities once pool activities conclude.

If you’re looking for additional time, there are also opportunities to pick up Open Swim hours.
