About the Role: As a Party Chief, you will lead daily field operations, oversee data collection, and ensure survey work is performed accurately, efficiently, and safely. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and office staff to support projects including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction layout, and municipal infrastructure work.

This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years of surveying experience who is confident in the field, capable of working independently, and ready to take responsibility for crew performance, data quality, and project execution.

Responsibilities

Field Operations & Survey Execution

• Lead and manage survey crews in the field on a variety of projects including boundary, topographic, construction stakeout, and right-of-way surveys
• Plan daily field activities, coordinate logistics, and ensure efficient execution of assigned work
• Perform property and right-of-way reconnaissance and verify existing conditions
• Operate and maintain survey equipment including total stations, GPS/GNSS, and data collectors

Data Collection & Quality Control

• Ensure accurate and complete field data collection and documentation
• Review field data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before submission
• Coordinate with office staff to support data processing, mapping, and final deliverables
• Troubleshoot field issues and adjust methods as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
