About the Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional violin/piano instructor to teach at Reeder Music Academy in Danville, CA. Instructors will provide one‑on‑one instruction in person. The ability to teach additional instruments is a plus.

Instructors can set their availability within our open hours as needed; both students and staff appreciate consistency. Preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. The current studio availability for this position is Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality lessons in violin or piano to students of all ages and skill levels.
• Develop lesson plans that are tailored to each student’s goal and progress.
• Maintain accurate attendance and lesson records.
• Communicate with students, parents, and school staff regarding progress and scheduling.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development as requested.

Qualifications

• Strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
• Experience teaching young musicians.
• Demonstrated love of teaching and a robust appreciation for punctuality.
• Reliable transportation and ability to pass a routine background check.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $35-$40 per hour. A 401(k) program with employer matching is available to all employees after 30 days on the job. Health benefits options are available for all part‑time and full‑time employees at Ensemble.
