Job summary

Fellowship of Purpose Early Childho is seeking a part-time childcare driver to safely transport children to and from local schools in Texas. The role operates on a split morning/afternoon shift with a steady Monday–Friday schedule and a total of about 30 hours per week.

You will perform vehicle inspections, ensure child safety, and maintain professional communication with families and school staff. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Experience transporting children preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, organized, able to work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist children entering/exiting the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children to and from local schools and approved destinations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Ensure all children are properly seated and follow transportation safety procedures.
• Maintain active supervision and accurate headcounts during loading, unloading, and transportation.
• Assist children safely entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Keep the transportation vehicle clean and in good working condition.
• Communicate professionally with families, school personnel, and center staff.
• Follow all childcare licensing regulations, center policies, and traffic laws.
• Arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance.
• Assist with light classroom or center duties between transportation routes as needed.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Split shift with a break between morning and afternoon routes.
• Part-time position (approximately 30 hours per week).

License & Certification Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a criminal background check as required by state childcare licensing.
• Must meet all licensing requirements to work in a licensed childcare center.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Must complete all required state childcare orientation and annual training requirements.
• Must successfully pass any required driving or transportation screenings.
