Job summary

The Learning Experience - Dedham is seeking a dependable Afternoon Teacher to support infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms during the late-day period. This part-time position runs Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with pay of $22-$23 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

The Closing Floater will work across age groups, assist with routines, snacks, and activities, and help ensure a safe, engaging end to the day. EEC-qualified educators are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts EEC Infant/Toddler and Preschool Teacher certifications required by the center
• Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education experience preferred
• Comfortable working with multiple age groups
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Flexible, dependable, patient, and team-oriented
• Must meet applicable Massachusetts EEC requirements for the position

Responsibilities

• Support afternoon Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms during hours
• Maintain appropriate teacher-to-child ratios and supervision
• Assist with snacks, playground activities, and dismissal
• Support diapering, toileting, and daily care routines as appropriate
• Engage children through stories, music, movement, and activities
• Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
• Prepare classrooms for the following day
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment
• Follow MA EEC licensing, health, and safety requirements

The Learning Experience - Dedham is looking for a dependable and experienced Afternoon Teacher to support our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms during the final hours of the school day.

As our Closing Floater Teacher, you'll work with different age groups, support classroom routines, and help ensure children enjoy a safe, positive, and engaging end to their day.
