Job summary

Altorfer Inc. in Clinton, IL is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle shipping/receiving, inventory storage, and parts picking in the Parts Department. You will load/unload trucks, operate a forklift, assemble hydraulic hoses, and maintain safety and housekeeping in a warehouse environment.

Must lift 75–100 lbs and have a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Qualifications include a High School Diploma, 1–2 years of warehouse experience, and basic computer skills (UPS Worldship, MS

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Computer literate; familiarity with UPS Worldship, MS Office preferred.
• Ability to follow safety rules and wear safety equipment.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Self-starter, team oriented, and detail-oriented.
• Strong attendance; forklift experience required; customer-service oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; MVR will be checked.

Responsibilities

• Ship and receive parts; manage inbound/outbound inventory.
• Load and unload trucks; operate forklift.
• Track inventory storage and stock new parts.
• Pick parts orders and stock incoming inventory for the Parts Department.
• Assemble hydraulic hoses.
• Maintain clean and safe warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM

Basic Duties

• Responsible for shipping/receiving parts.
• Load and unload trucks, operate forklift.
• Responsible for keeping track of inventory storage.
• Order picking activities- pick parts orders and stock new inventory that comes in for Parts Department.
• Assemble hydraulic hoses.
• Responsible for general housekeeping of the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of previous Warehouse experience preferred.
• Computer literate required. Familiar with programs such as UPS Worldship for shipping & receiving, Microsoft, Excel and Outlook preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow all safety rules and wear proper safety equipment when entering the shop or warehouse.
• Excellent planning & organizational skills required
• Must be a self-starter, team oriented and commitment to detail
• Strong attendance record is required.
• Forklift experience is needed and customer service oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal) are necessary.
• Must be able to lift up to 75-100lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position works in a warehouse environment. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 75-100lbs. May be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields) when needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. May intermittently sit at a desk for a long period of time to answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Occasional local travel may be required.
