Job summary

Goodwin Motor Group in Maine is hiring a team-oriented Parts Counter Person to join our parts department. We welcome motivated individuals who value customer service and teamwork.

The role involves handling the parts sales process, locating parts, shipping/receiving, processing special orders, and communicating status to customers. Reynolds and Reynolds experience is a plus; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with auto parts sales preferred.
• People focused and strives to provide great customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
• Proficient computer skills preferred.
• Valid and current Driver's License with ability to maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the parts sales process from customer inquiry to invoicing the customer.
• Works with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.
• Assists with Shipping and Receiving of parts.
• Completes special order parts requests for any parts that need to be ordered for the customer.
• Communicates with customer on the status of any parts ordered and notifies them upon delivery to the dealership.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Serves as backup to stocking clerk as necessary.
• Serves as backup for Part Counter Person.
• Serves as backup of Part Delivery as needed.
• Communicates with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry.

Pay Range: $18-$20 an hour
