Job summary

Foley Equipment in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Parts Sales Rep to deliver exceptional service by helping customers find the right parts and updating them on order status. You will assist with loading orders, disassembling and assembling hydraulic hoses, and travel for training or to support other locations.

The ideal candidate has parts knowledge, computer skills, customer service experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Parts knowledge and experience with hydraulic systems preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and basic software.
• Customer service experience in a parts environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and help customers find the right parts.
• Answer questions and resolve customer concerns.
• Assist in loading orders into vehicles by hand, forklift or cart.
• Keep customers updated on order status and inventory levels.
• Disassemble and assemble hydraulic hoses as required.
• Participate in weekend and after-hour work as needed.
• Audit and maintain accurate inventory of parts.
• Travel for training or to assist at other locations as required.

Job description

Parts Sales Rep promotes superior service to both internal and external customers. You will be responsible for finding the correct part for the customer and ensuring we meet or exceed the customer's parts expectation.

What You Will Do In This Role

• Deliver exceptional customer service
• Answer customer questions or seek resolution to questions or concerns
• Help load orders into vehicles by hand, forklift and hand trucks
• Ensure customers are up-to-date on order status
• Disassemble and assemble all types of hydraulic hoses
• Participate in weekend work schedules as well as after-hour work as needed
• Audit and inventory parts to maintain inventory accuracy
• Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.

Physical & Working Requirements

This role involves active work in a parts warehouse and distribution environment. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. These functions may include:

• Occasional lifting of heavier items up to 75 pounds
• Regularlifting and carrying of parts weighing up to 50pounds
• Standing and walking for extended periods, with occasional sitting
• Frequent bending, crouching, and reaching at various heights, including overhead
• Pushing and pulling materials or equipment with moderate to heavy force
• Climbing stairs, ladders, or equipment to access inventory
• Frequent use of hands for gripping, handling, and fine motor coordination when working with parts and tools
• Maintaining full range of motion, including neck and trunk movement and rotation
• Performing tasks requiring coordination of hands, feet, and visual focus
• Operating warehouse tools and equipment safely (e.g., carts, lifts, or other department tools)
• Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
• Communicating effectively to support team coordination and customer needs
• Driving or traveling for business purposes, depending on location and role responsibilities
