Job summary

Valley Plains Equipment in LaMoure, ND is seeking a Parts Sales Professional to identify customer needs, procure parts, and communicate solutions to customers and internal teams.

You will handle calls, promote parts and services, and manage inventory and merchandising in the Parts Department while supporting colleagues and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during peak seasons.
• Ability to apply consultative selling techniques in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand requirements and recommend suitable parts.
• Handle incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
• Proactively contact customers to discover needs and promote parts and service solutions.
• Invoice parts to customers with attention to discounts, freight charges, and payment methods.
• Initiate daily machine-down and stock orders to fulfill transactional needs.
• Ensure the display floor is stocked appropriately and merchandised well.
• Assist in receiving daily stock orders and processing transfers.
• Provide support to colleagues within the department as needed.
• Communicate customer concerns to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department, display floor and warehouses.
• Promote marketing for the Parts department.
• Adhere to safety policies and required parts training.

Job Responsibilities

• File shipment shortages and report bin shortages or inventory adjustments to the Parts Manager.
• Assist with inventory control functions and departmental report generation.
• Perform any other duties or projects assigned by management.
• Promote marketing for the Parts department.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Continuously learn and improve with required parts training.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during peak business seasons.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Ability to apply consultative selling techniques effectively in daily work.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in parts management preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to obtain certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of agricultural equipment is advantageous.

Compensation

The following represents Brandt Holdings compensation estimation based on market data and placement of internal employees. This is a hourly role with a starting base of $18.00 and going up to $19.00 based on experience.
