Job summary

Carolina International Trucks, Inc. is seeking a parts counter associate to assist customers in selecting required parts, provide price quotes, and process orders across our six South Carolina locations.

The role supports both retail and shop customers, with emphasis on friendly, efficient service and product knowledge. In this role you will handle phone inquiries, inform customers on specials, and help ensure exposure to the full product line while maintaining clean counter areas and

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or shop customer service is preferred.
• Ability to assist customers in selecting required parts and provide product information.
• Willingness to learn product updates and participate in training programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
• Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensure exposure to the full product line.
• Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Provide high level of service to internal and external customers.
• Pull and fill orders from stock.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders if necessary.
• Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
• Participate in all training programs; stay current on new products and updates.

Education

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Education and/or Experience

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
