Job summary

Fisher Industries is seeking a Parts Runner (Non-CDL) to support inventory and delivery operations across the United States. The role includes day or night shifts, extensive travel, overtime, and weekends, with work in shop and field environments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conducts inventory control activities as directed by Supervisors.
  • Retrieves parts/tools from inventory and notifies supervisors if not in stock.
  • Travel to vendors and job sites to pick up and deliver parts/equipment.
  • Operate equipment (Forklift, telehandler, skid steer, excavator) as needed.
  • Complete documentation and reports per company policy.
  • Overnight and extensive travel may be required.

The Parts Runner (Non-CDL) will be responsible for the safe transportation of items to and from the specified destinations. They will also be responsible for maintaining the inventory of parts.

This position will include day or night shift work, extensive traveling, overtime, and weekend work.

POSITION SCOPE
PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Conducts inventory control activities as directed by Supervisors
  • Retrieves (pulls) parts/tools from inventory or if the requested parts are not in inventory notifies supervisors
  • Assist warehouse personnel as needed
  • Travel to various vendors and job sites to pick up and deliver parts and equipment
  • Works under Parts Runner Dispatch Supervisor to ensure delivery assignments are completed promptly and correctly
  • Complete all documents, forms and reports in accordance with company policy
  • Fueling and washing all equipment in and out of shop including support vehicles
  • Maintains a professional appearance for self in accordance with company policy
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post trip inspections of truck and trailer in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy.
  • Document inspection findings accurately and complete all required reports and forms
  • Travel extensively, often on short notice, to various locations including remote areas.
  • Operate equipment as needed (Forklift, telehandler, skid steer, excavator) to load/unload equipment and parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Overnight travel will be required
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • 3 years of previous related experience (preferred)
  • Must have strong organizational skills to handle the variety of tasks assigned and to be able to prioritize
  • Must develop positive working relationships with vendors
  • Must have some basic knowledge of heavy equipment/mechanics to know parts and speak intelligently with vendors
  • Position functions in the shop as well as the field in all types of weather conditions
  • Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy
  • Overtime may be necessary during peak times
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule at times
