Job summary

LKQ Corporation is seeking motivated individuals for a warehouse/parts associate role in Pennsylvania. Starting pay is $17 per hour.

Responsibilities include safely maneuvering in yards or warehouses, locating and retrieving parts, packaging for delivery, handling paperwork, pulling orders, using hand and power tools, operating a forklift or order picker, and coordinating with Sales and Dispatch. Required at least a High School Diploma/GED; familiarity with automotive parts is a plus.

• Familiarity with MS Office apps (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Essential Job Duties

• Safely maneuver around the yard or warehouse.
• Find/Retrieve parts.
• Package parts for delivery/or prepping.
• Any paperwork involved with the parts.
• Pull work orders.
• Use hand tools and power tools to remove parts from cars.
• Operate a powered industrial truck (forklift) or order picker.
• Pull and prep all sheet metal and other orders.
• Tag all parts properly for the destination.
• Communicate with Sales and Dispatch.
• Must display a positive and friendly attitude as well as appropriate behavior during work hours.
• Cleanliness must be maintained in the work area.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Not responsible for supervising employees.

Minimum Requirements

• Education & Experience High School Diploma/GED.

Preferred Requirements

• A working knowledge of automotive parts.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
• Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
• Basic messages communicated orally.
• May write brief messages and keep simple records.
• May explain and offer guidance on routine procedures.
• Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• On occasions, an employee may be asked to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment.
• Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions.
• May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
• Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
