Job summary

TRU LAND Equipment is seeking a Parts Sales Associate to build customer relationships by traveling to customer locations and selling parts, service, and aftermarket promotions. You will provide exceptional service with timely information on accounts, products, rates, and services.

The role involves meeting sales goals, processing orders, locating merchandise, and maintaining inventory integrity. Requires high school diploma and 2+ years in parts or related sales, with a valid driver's license

Qualifications

  • Experience connecting with customers, maintaining a professional image, and establishing rapport.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the selling process.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a degree of independence.

Responsibilities

  • Market parts sales such as extended warranties, maintenance plans, and special parts promotions.
  • Provide recommendations for sales of additional related or needed parts or accessories.
  • Actively engaged and knowledgeable about the corporate parts promotion schedule.
  • Timely and accurate processing of all orders (in-store and online). Complete orders by communicating with customers on pick-up or delivery status.
  • Locate and obtain merchandise for customers. If not stocked, communicate with the Parts Inventory Team on items that need to be obtained.
  • Maintain customer inventory integrity by performing cycle counts, following up on inventory discrepancies, and expediting issues to the manager.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers at their place of business, at the counter, on the phone, and anyone internally.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Communicate, enforce, participate, and monitor effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in keeping the parts department clean and orderly.

Purpose

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree in an agricultural field preferred
  • 2+ years of Parts experience or equivalent sales or service experience
  • Experience connecting with customers, maintaining a professional image, and establishing rapport
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the selling process
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a degree of independence
  • Experience working both independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends
  • Experience using standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, internet applications, and other apps
  • Ability to use a handheld barcode scanner
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Driving record that meets Employer's insurance company requirements
