Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking a Parts Assistant to manage ordering, receiving, and coordinating with vendors for our collision repair operations. You will support body technicians with parts knowledge and help optimize inventory and costs at our Chandler, AZ location.

Key duties include processing part orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring accurate posting of invoices. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with experience in an automotive parts environment preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• US work authorized.
• Experience in a parts capacity in the automotive industry preferred.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and work orders.
• Proficient knowledge and use of estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete all parts ordering: order parts based on estimates and supplements; communicate with vendors; partner with Repair Planners for accuracy.
• Monitor deliveries: track status and update Repair Planner; communicate as needed.
• Receive and check in parts: mirror match delivered parts to repair orders and ensure they're on the parts cart.
• Inspect delivered parts for quality within two hours of drop off.
• Return incorrect parts to vendor immediately.
• Drive parts-related KPIs: monitor margins, credits, inventory and spend; discuss optimization with GM as needed.
• Coordinate parts invoicing: ensure daily posting in CCC One; correct as necessary.
• Support Body Technicians with parts knowledge; provide reference materials; keep up with laws and regulations.
• Lead Parts Team (if applicable): mentor and direct the Parts Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete all parts ordering: Quickly and accurately order parts based on initial estimates and supplements; Communicate with parts vendors to order parts as needed; Partner with Repair Planners to ensure parts accuracy
• Monitor deliveries: Regularly track parts status and communicate with vendor on parts status as needed; Update Repair Planner accordingly
• Receive and check in parts: Receive and mirror match delivered parts to repair orders and ensure all parts are placed and accounted for on the parts cart
• Inspect delivered parts for quality: Inspect parts for damage upon delivery within two hours of expected drop off
• Return incorrect parts: Return incorrect parts immediately to the vendor
• Drive parts related KPIs: Monitor parts margin, pending credits, shop consumables inventory and Material spend; Communicate to General Manager as needed to discuss optimization
• Coordinate parts invoicing: Ensure parts invoices are posted daily in CCC One – make corrections as necessary
• Support Body Technicians with parts knowledge: Supply reference materials to Technicians to ensure proper parts usage as needed; Keep up on laws and regulations of parts installation
• Lead Parts Team (if applicable): Serve as a mentor and direct the activities of the Parts Assistant

Qualifications

In addition to the compensation range listed, this role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses.
