Job summary

Knife River is seeking a Parts & Inventory Associate for our Boise shop. You will manage parts rooms, inventory, and freight, coordinate with vendors, and assist with forklift loading/unloading as training is provided.

Ideal candidates have a valid driver's license, a high school diploma, and strong communication skills. Experience with parts procurement or maintenance knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with office equipment.
  • Strong communication with a variety of team members and vendors.
  • Experience with equipment maintenance knowledge or parts inventory is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee parts rooms including cleanliness and organization.
  • Maintain and organize parts inventory and shop supplies.
  • Send out and receive freight.
  • Check in and record orders in the computer system; scan packing slips.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for stocking orders.
  • Pickup and deliver parts as needed.
  • Pickup and deliver vehicles to outside vendors for repairs.
  • Restock service truck with oil, filters, and coolant.
  • Organize and clean the shop and surrounding yard.
  • Communicate daily with the shop manager.
  • Willing to learn safe forklift operation (training provided).
