Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles and deliver parts to professional customers, including COD collections and returns. You will use fleet-handheld devices, perform daily vehicle inspections, keep vehicles and money secure, and support store operations with basic merchandising and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet driving eligibility requirements.
• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, etc.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and perform daily inspections prior to operation.
• Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, handheld devices, and monies collected secure at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure vehicle at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist customers, serve as a cashier, merchandising tasks as needed; other duties as assigned.
