Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to maintain and operate store vehicles for delivering parts to professional customers, collecting COD payments, and handling returns. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and expected to meet safety and procedural standards.

The role involves operating vehicles, using fleet devices, and performing daily inspections while ensuring security of equipment and funds. It may include cashiering and merchandising tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Able to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries and capture customer signatures.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintain, and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and monies secure at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to store manager.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle is locked at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
