Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Milford, CT is seeking a Delivery Specialist to safely operate store vehicles and deliver parts to professional customers. You will collect payments on C.O.D. deliveries and handle customer returns while upholding safety standards.

The role emphasizes strong communication, ability to adapt to varying delivery situations, and eligibility to drive under our 14/18-point policy. Fluency in Spanish is a plus, and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, etc.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and perform daily vehicle inspections prior to operating.
• Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and monies collected secure at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slip.
• Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to store manager.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle secured at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist customers, serve as cashier, and help with merchandising tasks when needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
