Job summary

Fabick Cat, a trusted Caterpillar equipment dealer, seeks a Parts Delivery Driver to deliver parts to customers and support warehouse operations.

You will operate a truck or van, maintain safe driving, complete trip sheets, load and unload, and assist in the warehouse during downtime. A valid CDL and forklift experience are required; high school diploma also required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid state Driver's License required and Class A CDL
• Must have forklift experience and be able to physically lift up to 75 lbs.
• Good oral & written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate delivery & distribution of freight to Fabick branches and drop boxes.
• Maintain good working relations with all Fabick branch facilities.
• Represent Fabick Cat in a safe and professional manner while in transit.
• Notify company supervisors and mechanics of vehicle problems.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as regulating tire pressure and adding gasoline, oil, and water.
• Record the name, date, and freight information on trip sheets, along with trip information such as time and place of pickup and drop-off.
• Complete accident reports when necessary.
• Check vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
• Secure cargo for transport
• Read bills of lading to determine assignment details.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
• Load and unload the van, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles and using other equipment as necessary.
• Assist in the warehouse during downtime.
