Stone Mountain Volkswagen is growing and seeks a Parts Delivery Driver to join our team. You will handle timely deliveries, plan routes, load and unload parts, and maintain accurate delivery records.

You will work with warehouse staff and management to ensure smooth operations, uphold safety standards, and provide friendly customer service during every drop-off. Candidates should have a high school diploma, prior driving or logistics experience, strong communication, time management, attention

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; additional training in logistics is a plus.
  • Prior delivery or logistics experience preferred.
  • Customer-facing experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Timely deliveries to correct locations following schedules.
  • Plan efficient routes using maps or GPS to save time and fuel.
  • Load and unload parts, secure items to prevent damage.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers during deliveries.
  • Keep delivery records, invoices, and signatures accurately.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff and management for smooth workflow.
  • Follow traffic laws and company safety policies; report incidents promptly.

We are looking to add another parts delivery driver to our team!

Key Responsibilities of a Parts Delivery Driver
1.Delivery Duties
  • Timely Deliveries:Ensure that all parts are delivered to the correct locations on time, adhering to preset schedules.
  • Route Planning:Utilize maps and GPS systems to plan efficient delivery routes to save time and fuel.
  • Loading and Unloading:Safely load and unload parts from the vehicle, ensuring that items are secured properly to prevent damage during transport.
2.Customer Service
  • Communication:Maintain professional and friendly communication with customers during deliveries. Address any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Problem-Solving:Handle delivery issues, such as wrong addresses or product discrepancies, efficiently and effectively.
  • Feedback Collection:Gather customer feedback regarding deliveries and relay important insights to management.
3.Inventory Management
  • Stock Monitoring:Assist in maintaining inventory levels by reporting low stock and discrepancies in parts.
  • Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery slips, invoices, and customer signatures.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:Conduct regular checks on the delivery vehicle for any issues and ensure it is kept in good working condition.
4.Collaboration with Staff
  • Team Communication:Work closely with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and management to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Training New Drivers:Occasionally assist in training new delivery drivers, sharing best practices for efficient and safe deliveries.
5.Safety Compliance
  • Regulations Adherence:Follow all traffic laws and company policies related to delivery operations.
  • Accident Reporting:Immediately report any accidents or incidents to management and follow company procedures for incident documentation.
Parts Delivery Driver Qualifications
1.Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent:A minimum requirement, although additional training in logistics or a related field is an advantage.
2. Experience
  • Driving Experience:Prior experience as a delivery driver or in a logistics role is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience:Previous experience in customer-facing roles can be beneficial.
3.Skills and Competencies
  • Strong Communication Skills:Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
  • Time Management:Excellent organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and prioritize tasks.
  • Attention to Detail:Ensure accuracy in deliveries and paperwork.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to quickly address and resolve unexpected challenges during deliveries.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands:The role may require lifting heavy packages, standing for long periods, and performing physical tasks associated with loading and unloading parts.
