Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a delivery driver in Odessa, Texas to pick up and deliver parts and equipment between locations and customer sites. You will verify orders, secure loads, collect payments, and maintain delivery logs.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to travel up to 85%. A high school diploma or GED is required along with strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with one year of related experience or training.
• Excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
• Must be 21 or older and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass Work Steps pre-employment physical.
• Ability to work safely and follow all policies and laws.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to read, write and understand instructions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report deficiencies.
• Collect payment from customers.
• Maintain accurate logs of pick-ups and deliveries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Pick-up and deliver parts and equipment between store locations, customers’ locations and/or suppliers’ locations, safely and in accordance to all local, state and federal laws and/or company policies/procedures.
• Load/unload delivery vehicle in a safe manner, securing all items.
• Ensure timely and accurate pick-up/delivery; verify invoice or purchase order matches order being delivered; obtain customer signature of pick-up delivery.
• Properly conduct pre and post trip inspections, reporting any deficiencies to management.
• Collect payment from customer.
• Maintain accurate log of pick-ups/deliveries.
• Other duties as assigned.
