Job summary

General Purpose:

The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of parts to customers and company locations. This role is a key extension of the Parts department and plays a direct role in supporting customer satisfaction, service uptime, and operational efficiency. Drivers are expected to follow assigned routes, delivery standards, and procedures while using Elite Extra as the primary delivery management and communication tool.

Essential Functions:
Delivery Execution
  • Safely deliver parts to customers, job sites, and company locations according to assigned routes and schedules.
  • Ensure accurate delivery of parts, including verification of orders and proper handling of all materials.
  • Obtain required delivery confirmations, signatures, and documentation using Elite Extra.
  • Communicate delivery status, delays, or issues promptly through Elite Extra and with the Parts Delivery Coordinator.
Route & System Compliance
  • Follow assigned routes and delivery instructions as provided through Elite Extra.
  • Use Elite Extra consistently for route navigation, stop management, delivery confirmation, and exception reporting.
  • Maintain awareness of delivery priorities, time-sensitive orders, and special handling requirements.
  • Report route inefficiencies, customer access issues, or recurring challenges to the Parts Delivery Coordinator.
Vehicle Care & Safety
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe, professional, and compliant manner at all times.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicles.
  • Comply with all safety policies, traffic laws, and company driving standards.
Customer Interaction & Professionalism
  • Represent the company professionally at all delivery locations.
  • Provide courteous, respectful, and service-oriented interactions with customers and internal teams.
  • Escalate customer concerns, damaged parts, or delivery discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain a high level of reliability, punctuality, and accountability.
Support & Flexibility
  • Assist with loading and unloading parts as required.
  • Support inner-store transfers, pallet movements, and return deliveries as assigned.
  • Serve as a backup driver or provide coverage in other routes or regions when needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Prior delivery, logistics, or driving experience preferred.
  • Ability to use mobile devices and delivery software; Elite Extra experience preferred.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move parts as required (including heavy or awkward items).
  • Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Passing a driving record (MVR), criminal history background checks, employment verification, and drug screen will be required prior to the start of employment.
Working Environment:

Occasional outdoor work in extreme weather conditions (hot/cold); walking on uneven terrain; occasional exposure to insects.

Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required including cold weather gear, eye protection, gloves, and provided uniform.

A clean and safety-conscientious working environment is required.

Work may involve long hours and overtime during holidays, weekends, and evenings.

Required to rotate on-call responsibilities for up to one week at a time.

Physical Activities:

Ability to stand, sit, walk, walk on unpaved terrain, talk, reach with arms and hands, have good manual dexterity, use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, handle or feel, hear alarms/telephones/normal speaking voice.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

May involve climbing ladders, stairs, steps, and traversing catwalk grating, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and kneeling on a frequent basis and working in confined space and manual dexterity required to complete work tasks through safe and proper operation of power and hand tools, and motor vehicles.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Moving, positioning, and carrying loads of up to 50 pounds upstairs and loading on four-foot-high surfaces frequently.

Moderate physical work involving lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 75 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
