Job summary

Greenville Hyundai, part of Sonic Automotive, is seeking a Parts Counterperson / Parts Delivery Driver in Greenville, TX. This full-time role combines counter sales with parts delivery and service support for technicians and customers.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1 year in a parts department, 1 year of sales experience, and a valid driver’s license with the ability to pass background checks. Benefits include a 401k, PTO, and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in customers and phone inquiries in selecting required parts and suggest companion requirements.
• Pull purchases from stock and submit emergency orders as requested by customers.
• Process orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up and manage will call/back order files.
• Assist service technicians in selecting parts for repairs and coordinate with Shop Foreman regarding parts orders.
• Process sales transactions and verify documentation; ensure accurate customer information for tax-exempt and charge accounts.
• Maintain counter areas, replenish inventory, and stay current on new products.

$34,000 - $36,000

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist walk-in customers and phone inquiries in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure exposure to the full product line.
• Pull purchases from stock, determine availability, and submit emergency orders as requested by customers.
• Process orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up and manage "will call" and "back order" files weekly.
• Assist service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs and coordinate with Shop Foreman regarding parts orders and receipt notifications.
• Process sales transactions, verify documentation, issue credits for returns, and ensure proper customer information is recorded for tax-exempt and charge account sales.
• Maintain counter areas in clean, organized condition; replenish assigned inventory daily and keep current on new products and updates.
• Operate company and customer vehicles for delivery purposes; must be legally and technically able to drive and insurable by company insurance carrier.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures; immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor and provide professional, efficient service to all customers and dealership departments.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in an automotive parts department.
• One year of sales experience.
• Ability to read, comprehend instructions, and communicate effectively with customers.
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Valid driver's license with ability to pass background check, motor vehicle record review, drug screening, and credit report verification.
• Authorization to work in the USA and willingness to comply with all company safety policies.
