LarMar Industries, Inc. in Odessa, TX is seeking a Parts Counter Associate to support shipping, receiving and sales of industrial engine parts.

You will manage start-to-finish transactions and maintain relationships with key customers under the direction of the Parts Manager. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in warehouse operations and parts handling, 1 year experience with industrial engine parts counter preferred, and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Mechanical/technical aptitude essential.
Strong knowledge of engine components.
Customer service oriented and problem solver.
Able to lift up to 80 lbs and work outdoors as needed.
3–5 years warehouse experience; 1 year engine parts counter preferred.

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Basic Function: The Parts Counter Associate is responsible for a wide variety of parts retail activities including shipping, delivering and receiving of industrial engine parts, ancillaries and other duties as assigned. Creating start to finish transactions and maintaining a working relationship with key customers. This position reports directly to the Parts Manager.
Position Requirements: Mechanical/technical aptitude, safe work habits, a good working knowledge of engine components and mechanical functions. Strong knowledge of industrial brands including Caterpillar, Cummins, John Deere and other. Customer service oriented, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, able to adapt to the people and environment around them - customer, suppliers and co-workers.
Knowledge of and the ability to adhere to Company policies and work requirements.
Experience and Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
May be required to perform administrative office duties.
Essential Functions: Physical ability to work in all the elements of outdoor conditions and drive company vehicles when necessary.
Physical ability required to lift and carry equipment, some with weights of up to 80 lbs.
Position requires the following physical activities: Standing 30%; Stooping/bending 20%; Walking 20%; Kneeling 20%; Sitting 5%; Climbing 5%
Required Experience: Warehouse - Minimum of 3-5 years; Parts - Minimum of 3-5 years; Industrial Engine Parts Counter - 1 year preferred; Inventory Control - 1 year preferred
