Job summary

SkyWest Airlines in Chicago, IL is seeking a diligent Parts Clerk to maintain inventory in support of our mechanics in a deadline-driven, safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, issuing and returning parts in the warehouse, data entry, forklift operations, and preparing shipments while upholding accuracy, teamwork, and on-time performance. This is a full-time role with a starting wage of $22 per hour.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain parts inventory to support mechanics.
• Perform warehouse/stockroom inventory cycle counts.
• Issue, return, and process parts and tooling from stock via internal system.
• Drive a company vehicle to airport gates for COMAT/AOG deliveries and road trips.
• Verify, pull, and prepare shipments and receipts.
• Data entry including emails, inventory counts, and requisitions.
• Operate a forklift to load and unload shipments.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain warehouse organization.
• Work well with others and stay detail-oriented under pressure.

Primary Job Duties

As a Parts Clerk, you will be responsible for keeping parts inventory on hand to support our mechanics.

• Perform warehouse/stockroom inventory cycle counts
• Utilize the internal computer program to issue, return, and process parts and tooling from stock
• Drive a company vehicle to airport gates for COMAT/AOG deliveriesand road trips
• Verify, pull, and prepare shipments and receipts
• Data entry including, but not limited to emails, inventory counts, and creating requisitions
• Operate a forklift to load and unload shipments
• Sweep, mop, and maintain the organization of the warehouse and stockrooms
• Knowledge of airline parts is preferred but not required
• Team player who works well with others
• Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
• Detail oriented and a quick learner
• Computer knowledge is helpful
• Works well under pressure
• Evaluate and resolve problems
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager

Minimum Requirements

• 18 years of age or older

Physical and Other Requirements

• Lift 75 pounds routinely, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Be flexible; the schedule is subject to change
• Available to work any day of the week, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• This is a full-time position, starting at $22.00 per hour
