Job summary

Buick GMC of Beaverton is seeking a dedicated Parts Advisor for a full-time role. You will greet customers, handle parts inquiries, and process orders with accuracy. You’ll work with the Service Team to coordinate parts for repairs and maintain precise inventory records.

Ideal candidates bring prior parts-advisor experience, knowledge of automotive parts, and strong communication. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, with a Monday–Friday schedule and flexible options.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone and greet customers professionally.

  • Assist customers with questions, stock checks and parts orders.
  • Maintain clean, organized counter and stockroom.
  • Coordinate parts for vehicle repair with Service Team.
  • Order parts from suppliers as needed.
  • Create invoices in ADP.
  • Receive and store parts, verify invoices and purchase orders.
  • Maintain inventory records and counts.
  • Process payments or obtain credit authorization.

Now Hiring – Full-Time Parts Advisor!

  • Pay: $55,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 6:00pm (flexible)

What You’ll Do

  • Answer telephone and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner in accordance with Incoming Telephone Call (ITC) standards.
  • Communicate with customers and vendors by phone, in-person or email.
  • Assist customers by answering questions, checking stock availability, and taking parts orders.
  • Maintain clean and organized appearance of counter, work area and stockroom.
  • Work with Service Team to coordinate parts for vehicle repair and service.
  • Order parts from suppliers based on service department and customer requests.
  • Create accurate invoices in ADP.
  • Receive, unpack and store parts in appropriate storage areas so they are available when needed.
  • Check quantity and condition of goods received against invoices and purchase orders. Check number and unit cost and total billing for charges against proper records.
  • Take inventory, maintain records of goods received and keep perpetual inventory controls.
  • Receive payment or obtain credit authorization
  • Process core returns, parts warranties and parts returns.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous parts advisor experience, a bonus
  • Understand basic automotive components and systems
  • Automotive dealership service experience is a plus
  • Any automotive certifications are a plus
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Mathematics – calculations of inventory, payments and invoices.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts
  • Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license in your state of residence
