Abraxas Youth & Family Services is hiring a Part-Time Youth Development Specialist to supervise and mentor youth in a structured residential setting on weekends. The role focuses on safety, relationship-building, and proactive support to help youths develop skills and confidence.

The position emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and professional conduct in a mission-driven environment, with paid training and opportunities for growth. DailyPay is available for this weekend-focused role.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license.
• Background screening and pre-employment checks are required.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Mansioni

• Provide supervision, guidance, mentoring, and support to youth in a structured residential environment.
• Build positive, professional relationships and serve as a mentor and role model.
• Observe youth behavior and provide appropriate support and intervention when needed.
• Assist with facility safety and security, including headcounts, room checks, and monitoring client movement.
• Facilitate and document groups, activities, and other required services.
• Follow program policies, procedures, and Safe Crisis Management (SCM) practices.
• Support and promote the Sanctuary Model and its Commitments.
