Job summary

Movement is seeking a Youth Team Coach to deliver practice content for our youth climbing teams and craft an engaging experience for all levels. You will partner with Team Coach Supervisors and Managers to plan and execute programming that fosters transformative experiences and life skills through sport climbing.

The role requires supervision of youth climbers, coordination with parents, and effective communication with coaching staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication with athletes, coaches, parents, and gym leadership.
• Knowledge and experience in climbing instruction for youth levels.
• Passion for working with youth and developing youth climbing athletes.
• Available to coach at least one day per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practice content for youth climbing teams and craft the experience for all levels.
• Plan and execute programming with Team Coach Supervisors/Managers for transformative experiences.
• Monitor wellbeing and promote belonging, core values, and safety during team activities.
• Supervise youth climbers during bouldering and belaying and support administrative duties.
• Communicate issues promptly with staff and collaborate on mentorship opportunities.
