Job summary

All Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer X Ray Screening Technician in Indianapolis, IN. You will provide customer service while screening people and items, monitor access points, and promptly report incidents to maintain a secure environment within a logistics and distribution setting.

Experience with x-ray screening and badge access is favored; candidates must meet minimum age requirements and pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with established site procedures, documenting and reporting irregularities or prohibited items.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and direct authorized individuals and vehicles to appropriate areas while maintaining accurate visitor and delivery records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, access points, loading areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
